Specifications

• Supported operating systems:
• Windows 10 (1809), Windows 11 and above, excluding Windows 10 on ARM and Windows Server editions (system administrator permissions are required)
• Supported file system on BeeDrive: exFAT
• Supported languages: Czech, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Traditional Chinese
• Supports using Synology Account, Google Account or Apple ID to set up BeeDrive for desktop
• Computer Backup & File Sync
  • Supports keeping a maximum of 5 previous versions of a file
  • Supports excluding certain file names, file extensions, and file size from backup/sync
  • Status icons will be displayed next to each file on the computer to indicate its current backup/sync progress
  • Recommended total backup/sync files: up to 500,000 (exceeding this number might lead to reduced performance or other unexpected issues)
  • Computer Backup can keep files deleted from the computer on its backup folder on BeeDrive or move them to the Archive Files folder
  • File Sync supports two-way or one-way sync between the computer and BeeDrive
  • File Sync can sync up to 10 folders on each computer with BeeDrive
• Mobile Transfer
  • Supports pairing BeeDrive with up to 5 mobile devices and unpairing them when not needed
• Notifies the operating system of backup/sync/transfer progress and errors in real-time
• Supports logging all backup/sync/transfer events
• Notifies software updates automatically on BeeDrive for desktop whenever new updates are available

Limitations

• Backing up or syncing from network drives and external storage devices (e.g. USB flash drives or SD cards) are not supported
• The following files or folders will not be backed up or synced:
  • File names, file types or file paths containing certain characters
  • A file path that is longer than 247 characters
  • .pst files (as they are not guaranteed to be portable)
  • Folders that require system permissions (e.g. C:\ or C:\Windows)
• On the same computer, folders that are already being synced to BeeDrive, including their sub-folders and root folders, cannot be synced with another folder on BeeDrive simultaneously
• File version
  • Renaming or moving folders on BeeDrive while BeeDrive for desktop is not running can result in the loss of file versions in those folders
  • Moving folders that are used for sync or backup can result in the loss of file versions
• Hard drive partitions are not supported, as the desktop software may not recognize BeeDrive
