The active USB 2.0 extension cable AXAGON ADR-207, 7.5 meters long, is ideal for connecting your computer to a USB device such as a mouse, keyboard, webcam, printer, scanner, plotter and more. The active USB repeater cable amplifies the signal and allows you to connect USB devices at a significantly greater distance than a passive cable. The cable range can be further extended by using several cables in a row.

A big advantage of the ADR-207 cable is the integrated auxiliary power connector . In most cases, USB bus power is sufficient, but for devices with higher power consumption, USB power may be insufficient over longer distances, and additional power from the mains can solve the problem in these cases. 

The exceptionally compact body of the repeater cable allows for trouble-free use in electrical mounting rails or cable systems. The use of high-quality shielded cable guarantees high communication speed and minimal unwanted interference.

Power supply:
• Power supply of the cable and connected devices via the USB bus (bus-power mode 5V - 500mA).
• For most connected USB devices, the USB bus power supply is sufficient and no additional power supply is required.
• The active part of the cable contains a connector (Ø 3.5 x 1.3mm external x internal diameter) for additional external power supply 5V/1-2A.
• A USB AM / 3.5mm jack power cable 1.2 m long is included in the package. The cable allows power supply from a common mobile phone charger with a USB-A output of 5V / min. 1A, e.g. AXAGON ACU-QC18 . 
• When powering the repeater cable with a power adapter, an external 2.5" disk can be connected without the need for its own power supply for the disk.
• For longer USB routes with several repeater cables connected in series, the USB bus power supply may be insufficient even for USB devices with lower power consumption than an external 2.5" disk. Also in this case, boosting the power supply by connecting a power adapter can help.
