Offering two times the performance of its predecessor, the DS4200 is powered by a Rapid Data Placement Engine and provides industry-leading price/performance and scalability, along with 99.999 percent availability.

Because Lenovo knows you don’t have the time to become a storage expert, the DS4200 comes equipped with an easy-to-use management interface GUI. With the Rapid Deployment Wizard, complex administrative storage tasks become simple, and setup takes less than 15 minutes. The same interface is used across the DS Series family, allowing for flexible IT administration.

With extreme flexibility and impressive performance and capacity, the DS4200 helps you tame the storage monster. Using 3.5" LFF hard drives and solid state drives, the DS4200 supports up to 240 drives (using 9 expansion units), as well as mixing LFF and SFF enclosures in the same array. For ultimate flexibility, it supports replication between its 12Gb platform and first-generation S Series systems. This enables you to move your high-performance workloads to the faster DS Series and redeploy the older models as data lakes or replication targets.
